ORDER OF
WORSHIP
As you prepare your hearts and your minds for worship, reflect on these words: “The source of all wisdom is, of course, God himself. To discover the meaning of life, the Bible tells us, we must be in touch with God…” ENTRANCE

God! People: Songs of celebration, songs of joy! Leader: Gather all the melodies
together into one great harmony of praise.
People: Let the music of our hearts become part of God’s
great song, pulsing through all creation.
Sing a new song to our God! *Hymn No. 73 “O
Worship the King” Invocation (Unison) Compassionate God, in your holy presence we
gather. We bless you for your steadfast
love, for your abundant mercy. We thank
you for your forgiveness, for removing the burden of our sins from us. With all your people on earth we sing to you
our praise. In Jesus’ name. Amen. CONFESSION AND AFFIRMATION
Silent Meditation Call to Confession
(Pastor) “God calls us out of isolation to join hands with
our brothers and sisters in this community of faith. God calls us out of our sin to cleanse us through His Son, Jesus
Christ.” Prayer of Confession (Unison) Merciful God, we humbly admit that we need your
help. We confess that we have wandered
away from your way. We have done wrong,
and we have failed to do what is right.
You alone can save us. Have
mercy on us. Wipe out our sins and
teach us to forgive others. Bring forth
in us the fruit of the Spirit that we may live as disciples of Christ. This we ask in the name of Jesus our
Savior. Amen. Assurance of Forgiveness
(Pastor) While it is true that we have sinned, it is a
greater truth that we are forgiven through God’s love in Jesus Christ. To all who humbly seek the mercy of God I
say, in Jesus Christ your sin is forgiven.
Thanks be to God. *Gloria Patri No. 70 Time With the Children FRIENDSHIP AND STEWARDSHIP
